The stories I'm about to tell you are all true...

Just as we know that the stars are giant balls of burning hydrogen, so too did the ancient greeks know that the stars were pictures of heroes and monsters placed into the sky by the gods.
And, just as we know the stars are trillions of miles away, so too did the ancient Africans know that the universe was a giant pumpkin shell and the seeds were her stars.

These are more than stories...

These are the cosmologies of our ancestors. This is the way people understood the mechanics of the universe. And, someday our notion of the heavens will seem as quaint to our descendants.

These are tales of heroism, romance and adventure...

For eons people have looked at the stars and told great stories to explain what they see.

I bring those stories to life, the same way they were told thousands of years ago - under the night sky. I'll point out the stars and constellations from the stories, as well as other interesting features that happen to be visible that night.
